Foster Care Awareness Month Recap

We had the opportunity to partner with our 4th Brave Conference in San Diego at the Salvation Army Kroc Center. This event supports foster girls 12-18 years old get connected to mentors, resources and organizations to continue to support them now and as they exit the foster care system. There was 75 girls in attendance, in the video you can hear them all shouting "I CHOOSE TO BE BRAVE".

We were able to give all the girls Thrive Causemetics skincare, lipglosses, mascaras, and a few other items as well as do hair consultations for each girl having questions of how to care for their hair type and they all received hair products along with getting their nails painted.

These events were created to prevent girls ending up human trafficked and chronically homeless which the statistics are high for foster youth. We are grateful to get to partner to be apart of this process of giving them hope and inspiration for their futures!

We also had an amazing volunteer support in prom hair & makeup for a foster girl. What a month it was!

Note that you won't see the girls' amazing faces for their protection. The beautiful girl in the photo is Captain Lisa's daughter getting her nails done.

We are BEYOND grateful for Thrive Causemetics for their generosity to support our community!
